⭐️ Woof-fiber and Disabled Access Improvement

FCPA and the P.A.C.K. share a priority: improving the park’s safety, accessibility, and overall conditions. We’re partnering with FCPA to install an engineered wood fiber (“woof fiber”) surface in the north, small-dog area for patrons who need easier access.

Similar to playground surfacing, this affordable, ADA-compliant material compresses over time into a firm, stable layer for wheelchairs and walkers while remaining gentle on paws. We expect the project to finish by month’s end, followed by a formal ribbon-cutting this Fall with FCPA and County leaders.

• Hear from Board Members about park operations, finances and future plans. Open Q&A period—as well as the election of new board members.

👉 ADA Surface and North End Reopening (Ribbon-Cutting Event)

• Learn firsthand from County and P.A.C.K. leaders about the benefits of this approach and get a preview of other upcoming projects and improvements to Westgrove.

👉 Westgrove Fall Festival
When: Saturday, October 24th at Noon (Weather-permitting)
Where: Westgrove Dog Park

• A favorite Social Event of the Fall Season is back! Spend an afternoon at the park filled with fun, food and dogs! What could be better? More details to come.

We are looking for volunteers to help maintain these hours.

Current times are slotted for Tuesdays and Thursdays from Noon-2PM, but there are no volunteers to make this happen. (North end of Park)

Please note: ​only dogs less than 30lb are permitted during this time.

It takes a community to keep Westgrove healthy!

YOUR GOAL:  No Poop Left Behind!!
We could all support one another by watching for and pointing out pooping dogs to distracted owners. ​Keeping the park free of dog poop is everyone’s responsibility.

A gentle reminder: Poop can make our dogs sick. Please take note of the following:
​

1. Watch your dog at all times and please don't allow your cell phone to be a primary focus. Your dog requires your supervision, just like children at a playground.
2. Not sure if your dog pooped? Be a good neighbor — walk around and pick-up a poop before you leave.
3. Dog poop is not fertilizer. If it was, it would be sold at Lowe's or Home Depot and we'd all be rich ($$ ... ha, ha, ha!). More importantly though, dog poop has lots of bacteria that can make our dogs sick. 
4. What do I do if you see a dog pooping and no one walking towards it? Please kindly say something like:
         • "Hello, dog pooping!" 
         • "Hello, (dog breed) pooping!
